I am grateful to have met Fantu. His presence on this planet was a blessing not only to his family. We are all recipients of his life’s work generously fighting for the little man, giving hope and inspiration. His light will always live with us. I am so sorry for your loss. ❤️
I still cannot believe it that Fantu Cheru is no longer with us. An intellectual icon, pan-Africanist per excellence, social activist, human rights crusader, and decent human being. He lived a good life & ran a good race. May the LORD Bless his soul and grant him eternal rest!
Fantu was such a great man. Always smiling and radiating good energy. Such a big heart. We will miss you and keep you forever in our hearts.
It was always great to get together whether in DC or in Stockholm where we had so many wonderful discussions. I remember when you and Annika announced you would be heading to Sweden with the family. We missed having you around in DC but the times we got together in Stockholm were always precious. There is something about being together with you and able to share the combined Swedish- US world that we experienced in our own ways. Our thoughts are so with you and Annika, Malkom, and Makeda.
